These countertop warmers are designed to keep food warm and safe from the "temperature danger zone". With a standard size opening of 20"L x 12"W, they are both designed to hold most full-size or fractional-size pans with a depth of up to 6". Both also have a water indicator light and 6 foot three-pronged grounded cord. FW500 has a height of 9.375". FW600 has vented sides and a height of 10.625"
